Our Story
Same starter. Same hands. Since 1991.
A small bakery on Gutierrez Street, founded by an Italian immigrant with one oven and a stubborn idea: bread should taste like something.

Marco D'Angelo grew up in a bakery outside Naples. When he opened his own shop on Gutierrez in 1991, he brought one thing with him from home: a glass jar of sourdough starter, fed every day for three generations.
It's still alive. It's still in the kitchen. And every loaf we pull from the oven traces back to it.
The shop is small on purpose. We bake what we can do well, and we sell out before 2pm. That's the deal.
